Shoulders & Stripes.

Bardot / off-shoulder tops have proven very popular this season; it's safe to say they're going to make a smooth transition through the cooler months. Pending on the fabrics and prints used, it can create sexy sophistication or flirty feminine looks, a great piece to cater to everyone's tastes.

Previously I mentioned the versatility of bardot tops, but I think this piece from Hello Parry really tops it all. The Corrie shirt can be worn in two different ways with additional detailing on the sleeves; I've opted to have the button down detailing on the back to keep a minimalist vibe.

From day time chic to party glam, I've included some of my favourite picks.

How would you style this trend? Chunky knits would also be a great way to go!

Looking forward to see it all on instagram.

Neutral Nature.

I'm back!!!

I guess it's true when they say time flies when you're having fun because I can't believe we're about to bid farewell to another year! Usually by now, I would be in a huge coat and adjusting to the night sky that graces us at 4PM; finding it kind of odd still walking around in a light jacket...

Black, navy and grey is a basic summery of my wardrobe. However I'm finding myself reaching for lighter and softer neutrals this season. Being immersed in such a creative industry is exposing me to so many new concepts and ultimately changing my perspectives and style.

A relaxed silhouette with an edge; a denim jacket wouldn't be the most obvious styling choice but sometimes you've just got to mix and match until you find what is 'right', as always don't be afraid to experiment!

I've also been ditching larger bags, it's a great way to force yourself to carry less bulk and focus on the essentials, my current favourite is this little Céline pouch that came with the 'Soft Flap'.

Hopefully I will be back with more regular updates, if not you can still see what I get up to on instagram.

Until next time!

Lets Layer.

A classic item I recommend everyone to have is a longline jacket, it's a great layering piece and pending on how you style it, can be used to create a variety of looks.

Many designers often play with the concept of proportions in their collections. However, it's not the easiest trend to take on if you have a petite frame! To utilise what I have (or don't have) I've layered this Fendi jacket over a marled ribbed turtleneck. Due to the tailoring of the jacket I was able to create a two-tone sleeve with the marled grey peeping through; it's a cute contrast in both texture and colour.

To compliment the textures I've incorporated some subtle gold accents here and there to keep things interesting. I'm currently really loving this Anarchy Street ball cuff and jade combo, the colours really compliment each other!

I've found myself reaching for my 2Jour more often recently, it's a practical and beautiful creation that's great for everyday. I'm kind of lazy when it comes to swapping between wallets and bags which sadly means I don't make the most of my collection as I should, anybody else guilty of that?!

I'm currently on the look out for a new addition, do you guys have any suggestions?

Of all the A/W 15 trends, the lace-up is by far my favourite; from tassels to criss cross, it's an easy detail to incorporate in your current wardrobe and the best thing is you can be as sympathetic or as loud as you want!

This breezy blouse is rapidly becoming my favourite go-to, its versatility allows me to mix and match pending on the occasion. As usual I've opted for minimalism | convenience with a pair of ankle boots and denim cut offs. The wooden accent on the shoes are a great textural contrast, as is the cut-out  which showcases a subtle hint of metal.
It's the little things that count!

I've recently become an Anarchy Street *affiliate which is timed perfectly as I've been obsessing over jewellery more so than usual. However I'm always on the look out for up and coming brands, so if you come across anything, tag me on Instagram!

Teddy Blues.

It's cold!
Hopefully it's here to stay because I miss my A/W habits | rituals.
. Hot Coffee
. Pastry Snacks
. Layering Up
. Snuggling in fluffy throws

the list goes on.

Moving on, I'm still very much in love with this piece from Whistles (last season purchase); despite the cooler sophisticated grey tones, the A-Line cut and cuffed sleeves adds a playful and relaxed feel.
This is such an easy look to throw together, sometimes the best outfits are the ones that don't require much thought. The simplicity in colour and silhouette make it just as eye-catching as any statement piece.

Wearing bangles over sleeves are a great way to add some dimension into the look, an added bonus is that it's fixed in place. Sometimes I can't handle the clanking of stacks moving around, it ends up being a hassle and turns into an irritation.

I opted for these lace-up heels over say booties or courts because it was a great element to throw in. It's a classic style with a twist.
(Style Tip | Pointed shoes, be it flats or heels are a great way to elongate the leg!)

Oxblood Lust.

Incorporating rich wine shades is the easiest way to freshen your wardrobe for Fall; it's an eye catching colour that carries a lot of depth. I've kept things minimal to emphasise a clean cut silhouette, a shirt dress and heels combo is an effortless portrayal of confidence and sophistication. I love what Leatrice Eiseman has to say on this season's palette...

"Juxtaposition of colour from opposite sides of the spectrum emphasises poise and confidence...The fall 2015 palette is rooted in multi-faceted, androgynous colours that can be worn to portray effortless sophistication across men's and women's fashion; it is the first time we are seeing a truly unisex colour palette."

L.E, Executive Director of the Pantone Colour Institute.

Shirt dresses have great versatility and can represent many different concepts and moods. From a selection of flannels, chiffon and formal creations, it's a great foundation to build looks upon.

Deep reds are proving popular in the Beauty Industry as well this season. If you're wanting to try the colour on your lips, opt for liquid formulas! They often have a matte finish and are really low maintenance post-application. Due to the nature of the product, you don't have to worry about smudging or bleeding. In this post I'm wearing Limecrime Velvetines in Wicked

Crisp White.

You can never go wrong with a crisp white button-up, it can be styled for formal and casual occasions, making it the perfect effortless statement piece. I've styled a casual counterpart before here.

Paired with a lace bra-let peeping through adds a feminine touch and is perfect for those day to night transitions. As I had a meeting earlier I wore the shirt buttoned up, then undid them again whilst running my errands, versatility at its best!

Despite the odd little details here and there I finished the look with these statement flats. From the coral colour pop to the spike detailing, it's an added edge that completes this clean cut look. I kept things minimal in the jewellery department and stuck with these current faves - I love the delicacy they exude and have them on constant rotation.

Rustin' Fresh.

Despite the heat I've been eager to reach for more autumn inspired pieces, it's safe to say I'm ready to bid farewell to summer...for now.

I've learnt that it's critical to carry a jacket or cover-up around Hong Kong due to the arctic blasting A/C's; therefore whilst shuttling in-between, it's simpler to tie the jacket around my waist. It's a win-win sit. due to the convenience and edgier vibes it adds to my look.

The colour rust is a beautifully rich warm tone that can range from pinkier salmons or earthy browns. Through the season I've noticed it slowly creeping back in some collections, safe to say it's going to be a hit for autumn (think crisp fall leaves!) Avoid looking 'heavy' by pairing with lighter colours for contrast. I'm obsessing over all the little details every piece is contributing, from the distressing on the knees to the contrasting lace-up ribbon. It's not my usual approach to mix so many colours and textures into one look, but the clashes work out pretty well don't you think?
