Nave De Vero

Children's entrance!

We had to catch the afternoon flight back to England so decided not to venture too far out this morning. Nave de Vero is a newly constructed shopping centre based in Marghera, approximately 20 minutes away via the tram link in Mestre (word of caution, it's behind an industrial type area so initially you may think you're walking in the wrong direction or lost completely, but keep going and you'll get there!)
Maybe because it's a new attraction, but the whole experience was a bit underwhelming and this would be a 'last resort' way to pass the time given the chance to choose again. On the plus side the Christmas decorations were super pretty and we had one last Italian meal before our departure :)

Milan

Coming out of the station and seeing the Duomo was breathtaking, seeing the structure up close allowed me to appreciate the beauty and left me in awe that this was all hand crafted by men all those years ago. The inside of the Duomo is equally beautiful, although unintentional (?), there is a significant contrast in 'dark' and 'light'.
When you step foot into the Duomo, a sense of serenity washes over you as you walk through, as many would have before you.

My very own photobomb!

Lake Garda

As our stay in Italy was only going to be short, we tried to fit in as many things during the trip. On our way to Milan we stopped off at the beautiful Lake Garda!

Despite being winter, the waters were still beautifully clear.
